BioPhotonics Call for Presentations
March 20, 2015 Deadline
Biophotonic Imaging for Medicine: A Digital Conference
June 11, 2015, 1 to 5 p.m. EST
www.photonics.com/bioconference
Hosted by Photonics Media, this digital conference will focus on the use of light-based imaging and microscopy techniques for diagnosing and assessing illness, or studying other attributes and functions of biological tissue in a biomedical context. The event will feature 15- to 30-minute online presentations by approximately 10 speakers.

The digital conference will be presented free to a knowledgeable audience of medical professionals, researchers and businesspeople around the world. The conference will be advertised on Photonics.com and in BioPhotonics, and announced to thousands of email recipients in the biophotonics field.

We invite presentations from researchers, clinicians and engineers working at the graduate, doctoral and professional levels. Presentations on theoretical topics or presenting new data are welcome. Topics of interest include:

- optical coherence tomography
- microscopy for diagnostics
- image-guided procedures
- spectroscopy for biomedical research
- photoacoustics
- adaptive optics
- fiber optics for endoscopy
- hyperspectral imaging
- optical elastography
- multimodal imaging
- light-sheet microscopy
- computational imaging and sensing

Presentations should emphasize technology and methods. Talks dealing with challenges of clinical translation are especially welcome. The research presented may include imaging of humans, tissue samples or animals.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Researchers may submit 250-word abstracts describing the purpose, methods and results of their own work. The deadline is March 20, 2015.

Abstracts may be submitted via email to [email protected], online at photonics.com/bioconference, or by mail to:

BioConference, Photonics Media, P.O. Box 4949, Pittsfield, MA 01202 U.S.A.

Presentations will be selected by Photonics Media editorial staff and a panel of top researchers including professor Dr. Stephen Boppart of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and professor Dr. Aydogan Ozcan of the University of California, Los Angeles.

Photonics Media will notify selected presenters by April 17. Selected presenters must prepare their own talks and accompanying slides, to be submitted by May 15. Each presentation will last 15 to 30 minutes, as determined during the selection process.

Each presenter must confirm that his/her presentation is original and does not infringe upon any rights of any third party, including copyrights, trademarks and rights of privacy and publicity. Further, presenters must give Photonics Media permission for use of the presentation limited to the live webinar online on the day of the conference and as part of the recorded webinar, archived online on the copyrighted website, Photonics.com.

Commercial presentations or presentations without findings will not be accepted.

Please Note: By submitting an abstract, potential presenters signal that they are able to meet the deadline for slides and will be available on the day of the webinar. Assigned time slots may be subject to change.
