waveform

A waveform is a graphical representation of the shape and magnitude of a signal over time. It typically depicts how the amplitude (strength) of the signal changes over time, with time plotted along the horizontal axis and amplitude plotted along the vertical axis. Waveforms are commonly used in fields such as electronics, physics, and signal processing to analyze and interpret various types of signals, including electrical signals, sound waves, and radio waves. The shape of a waveform provides valuable information about the characteristics of the signal, such as its frequency, amplitude, and phase.
