additive color mixing

Additive color mixing refers to the process of creating colors by combining different wavelengths of light. In this system, red, green, and blue (RGB) are considered primary colors. By mixing varying intensities of these primary colors, other colors are created. The more intense the light of a particular primary color, the brighter and more saturated the resulting mixed color becomes.

Additive color mixing is fundamental to how colors are displayed on electronic screens such as TVs, computer monitors, and smartphones, where combinations of red, green, and blue light pixels create a wide range of colors visible to the human eye.
