AI system-on-chip

An AI system-on-chip (SoC) is an integrated circuit that integrates hardware components optimized for performing AI computations efficiently. These components typically include:

AI accelerators: Specialized processors or hardware accelerators designed for tasks such as machine learning inference, neural network processing, and AI model execution.

CPU/GPU cores: Central processing units (CPUs) and graphics processing units (GPUs) may be included for general-purpose computing and graphics rendering, respectively.

Memory interfaces: Interfaces optimized for high-bandwidth memory access, essential for handling large datasets and AI model parameters efficiently.

Peripheral interfaces:
Interfaces for connecting to sensors, displays, and other external devices, enabling real-time data processing and interaction.

AI SoCs are crucial in enabling AI capabilities in a wide range of devices, from smartphones and smart cameras to autonomous vehicles and edge computing devices. They are designed to deliver high performance while optimizing power consumption, making them suitable for both mobile and embedded AI applications.
