Kolja Kolata, Ph.D., earned a doctorate in physics from University of Marburg, Germany, in 2014 with a focus on ultrafast pump–probe spectroscopy on organic semiconductors provided the ideal foundation for launching a technical career in industry.
After seven years as a sales engineer at SmaAct GmbH helping build deep expertise in technical sales to both industrial and academic customers, Kolata joined Class 5 Photonics in 2022.
Starting as a sales engineer, Kolata became a sales manager at the beginning of 2025, driving customer-focused solutions and business growth in advanced laser technologies.
