The Optran^® UV NSS Fiber from Armadillo SIA provides deep-UV solarization and radiation resistance.

The optical fiber features a hermetic carbon layer, low numerical aperture expansion, and superior optical stability while operating in the UVC spectral range and beyond, from 190 to 1200 nm. They are available in any numerical aperture value from 0.12 to 0.30 and can be customized upon request. Core diameters are available from 90 to 1000 µm. Comprised of biocompatible materials, it can operate between -190 and +150 °C. The high-solarization-resistance fibers can be used in semiconductor technology, laser delivery systems, spectroscopy, medical technology, and diagnostics.
