About QD Laser Inc., Laser Device Div.
QD Laser is a provider of high-performance semiconductor lasers and epitaxial wafers. Our lasers are made on GaAs platform with the state-of-the-art epitaxial growth technologies of quantum dot/well and design abilities of wafer, chip, and package for industrial and data communication applications.
Our innovative laser portfolio includes:
532, 561, 594 nm all-in-one compact visible lasers
532, 561, 594 nm compact visible lasers
Epitaxial wafer with grating (high quality epitaxy on 3" or 4" GaAs substrates)
- Compact Visible Lasers (532, 561, 594 nm): These small yet energy-efficient lasers are precisely engineered for a wide range of biomedical applications, including flow cytometry, microscopy, spectroscopy, and advanced measurement. We are also actively developing 488 nm, 552 nm, and 588 nm wavelengths, anticipated for release in Summer 2026. We also offer the ultra-compact yet all-in-one, plug-and-play module, Lantana, which is suitable for Raman spectroscopy, fluorescence imaging, interferometry, holography, quantum sensing, and semiconductor inspection.
- High-Power Fabry-Perot Lasers (640 - 905 nm): Designed for demanding sensor applications, these lasers deliver robust performance in LiDAR systems, machine vision, levelers, particle counters, biomedical equipment, color projectors, and visible light communication.
- DFB Lasers (1018 - 1122 nm, 1140 - 1188 nm): Renowned for their spectral stability and narrow linewidth, these single-frequency DFB lasers are ideal as seed lasers for fiber lasers. Their precision is vital for applications such as micromachining, semiconductor inspection equipment, and high-performance LiDAR systems.
- Quantum Dot Lasers (1240 - 1330 nm): As ideal light sources for the rapidly evolving fields of optical communication and silicon photonics, our Quantum Dot Lasers offer superior performance for next-generation data transmission.
- Epitaxial Wafers (Foundry Service): Beyond finished laser products, we provide specialized epitaxial wafer foundry services, enabling customized solutions for unique project requirements. This includes high-quality epitaxy on 3-inch or 4-inch GaAs substrates with layers such as InAs quantum dot, InGaAs quantum well, GaAs, and AlGaAs, along with grating formation and regrowth services.
At QD Laser, we are committed to driving innovation and supporting our partners with reliable, high-performance laser solutions.
