e2V Awarded ESA Contract

CHELMSFORD, England, Sept. 21, 2010 — e2v technologies plc has received a €1 million contract from the European Space Agency (ESA) to develop a family of compact satellite communication electronic subsystems.

Under the co-funded ARTES 3-4 product development program, the company will deliver operation samples in the final quarter of 2011. Potential applications for the subsystems include disaster relief, homeland security, peace keeping and natural resource monitoring.

According to the company, the contract is an important part of its strategic product development work, supporting its move into RF power solutions and electronic sub-systems.
