The Zenaro Lighting Alliance has announced the formation of a new company, Zenaro Lighting GmbH. With headquarters in Kamp-Lintfort, Germany, the start-up will develop and sell LED luminaires and systems specifically for the office, consumer, street and parking lot segments, as well as LED retrofits, power supplies and light engines. With an initial focus on the German and European markets, the company will later expand its operations internationally by leveraging the existing infrastructure of the Alliances partners in Taiwan, China and the US. Founded in April 2010, the Zenaro Lighting Alliance consists of Everlight Electronics, LLC and Aphos Lighting. It was established to confront the future challenges of the global lighting market.
