Yokogawa Electric Corp. and Fujitsu Ltd., both of Tokyo, have agreed to jointly develop core technologies and key components for ultrahigh-speed optical transmission systems. The companies aim to achieve a faster transmission network infrastructure by combining Yokogawa’s advanced compound semiconductor device technology with Fujitsu’s expertise in network systems.
