ALLEN, Texas, Sept. 2 -- Telecommunications network equipment provider Xtera Communications Inc. announced today it has acquired Metro-OptiX Inc., a private optical networking equipment provider with offices in Santa Clara, Calif., and Plano, Texas. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Xtera, based in Allen, Texas, is the developer of the Nu-Wave dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) system.
