VANCOUVER, B.C., July 6 -- Worldwide Fiber Inc. (WFI) has named Steve Baker vice president and chief technology officer. Prior to joining WFI, Baker was vice president of Strategic Technology Planning for Sprint Canada. In 1988 Baker founded Integrated Network Services Inc. and served as chief technology and CEO for the company, which specialized in frame relay technologies. Worldwide Fiber is a facilities-based provider of technologically advanced, high-bandwidth fiber optic communications infrastructure.
