SPOKANE, Wash. & PROVO, Utah, April 19 -- World Wide Packets announced it will provide metro access network equipment to the city of Provo for a phased buildout to begin immediately.

The first phase creates the city's metro backbone, connecting government buildings, schools, and power stations to deliver high-speed data. This phase is expected to be completed by the end of May. Science Applications International Corp. will assist in this phase of building the network.

"By deploying our end-to-end solution, Provo is creating a new model for the delivery of high-speed services and securing the city's future in the process," said Bernard Daines, CEO, World Wide Packets.
