Vistec Semiconductor Systems to Move to Silicon Valley

To be closer to its key customers, the US branch office of Wetzlar, Germany-based Vistec Semiconductor Systems GmbH (formerly known as Leica Microsystems Semiconductor GmbH) is moving to California's Silicon Valley in August, the company announced this week. The company's US unit, responsible for sales, service and support, will move from Chantilly, Va., to Fremont, Calif. Vistec Semiconductor provides production technology to semiconductor manufacturers and research institutes worldwide. The company's electron beam systems are used for microchip production and integrated optics, as well as for scientific and commercial research.
