Ushio Europe’s German Lighting Business to Merge with Sister Company
Ushio Europe’s German business, Ushio Deutschland GmbH, is merging with BLV Licht- und Vakuumtechnik GmbH, its sister company and a producer of lighting systems for horticultural applications. The combined company will operate as Ushio Germany GmbH as of Feb. 1.
Ushio Europe is a producer of specialty lighting, with facilities for the manufacture and testing of UV, visible, and infrared light solutions. In a press release, Ushio Europe said the decision to merge stemmed from the desire to unify Ushio’s European entities under a common English language naming convention.
BLV will continue to operate independently within the new company. Ushio Europe will consist of five group companies.
