Tesat-Spacecom GmbH & Co. KG of Backnang, Germany, has selected Discovery Semiconductors Inc. of Ewing, N.J., to supply fiber-coupled, high-speed photodiodes for space applications. Discovery, which has passed environmental tests such as gamma irradiation and launch vibration, has agreed to supply both engineering and spaceflight-ready models as part of the contract.
