Trumpf Opens Manufacturing Facility in Mexico
Industrial laser maker Trumpf Inc. announced yesterday it opened a new, 6400-sq-m facility in Monterrey, Mexico's Apodaca Technology Park. State-of-the-art Trumpf equipment and manufacturing techniques are used at the facility to produce frames for the company's machinery. Trumpf said it invested more than $10 million in the advanced manufacturing facility and sales and application center, which is open to Mexico-based fabricators and manufacturers for tours and technology demonstrations. Trumpf equipment is used by manufacturers and sheet metal fabricators to make products for industries including automotive, aerospace, agricultural, medical and electronics. Trumpf of Farmington, Conn., is the North American subsidiary of Germany-based Trumpf GmbH. The company currently employs 24 at Trumpf Mexico.
