FARMINGTON, Conn., April 20, 2010 — Trumpf Inc. has announced several changes within its laser division.

David Havrilla, formerly manager, high power lasers, has been promoted to manager of products and applications. Havrilla, who has been involved with industrial lasers for more than 23 years, holds a master’s degree in mechanical engineering and has done post-graduate study at the Imperial College in England, where he investigated the viability of laser cladding die components. Havrilla will continue to be based out of Trumpf Inc.’s Plymouth, Mich., location.

Havrilla replaces Juergen Stollhof, who has relocated to Trumpf’s Farmington headquarters as program manager of a new sales initiative that concentrates on microprocessing in the photovoltaic, semiconductor and medical industries. He will be working with Paul Graham, PhD, who was named product manager.

Other personnel changes within Trumpf’s laser division include Chris Pilcher, who was named regional sales manager for Trumpf Canada. Pilcher has more than 25 years of experience in the welding and systems integration field. He holds degrees in mechanical engineering, mathematics and business, and has experience in industries including aerospace, medical, nuclear, and automotive.

Also, Michael Nuessler, most recently a service engineer with Trumpf Mexico, is now sales engineer for laser products and based in Queretaro, Mexico. Bill Weston, a 10-year Trumpf employee and 20-year laser industry veteran, was named Southwest regional sales manager.
