Teledyne Combines CARIS and Optech to Form Geospatial Group
Teledyne combined its Optech and CARIS businesses to launch a geospatial group. The group will offer solutions to map land and sea with the integration of lidar sensors and software workflows.
Optech and CARIS have more than 40 years of experience in the lidar and marine GIS markets, respectively. The collaboration seeks to give customers a competitive edge in mapping and delivering data products within a single complete workflow. Ease of collection and processing through to the final product is enhanced with efficiency-driving AI algorithms and real-time quality control.
“Businesses today are increasingly expected to offer a more comprehensive suite of services,” said Andy Hoggarth, vice president of sales and marketing at Teledyne Geospatial. “Bringing Optech and CARIS together allows us to leverage the world-leading expertise of both companies, ensuring customers can fully realize the competitive advantages provided by our ability to deliver holistic solutions for land and sea.”
Teledyne Geospatial has announced its first product. The CZMIL SuperNova integrates Optech’s bathymetric lidar with CARIS’ comprehensive processing software.
