Team to Develop Solar Cells
NASA has awarded the second phase of a Small Business Technology Transfer program to Kopin Corp. of Taunton, Mass. The $600,000 award will help fund the development of indium nitride-based quantum dot solar cell technology. Collaborating with the company will be groups at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg and at Magnolia Optical Technologies in Woburn, Mass.
