In addition, Peter Leibinger, current vice chairman of the managing board and CTO, will leave the managing board to assume the role of chairman of the supervisory board, succeeding Hambrecht. Elke Reichart, former chief digital officer (CDO) of TUI AG, will succeed Claudia Eckert on the supervisory board.

He will be succeeded by Hagen Zimer, who has served as managing director of TRUMPF Laser GmbH since 2020. Zimer previously worked for the company in R&D roles and served as managing director of TRUMPF’s diode laser facility in the U.S.
