Swave Photonics Names CEO; Fujifilm Bolsters Sales Operation: People in the News: 11/09/22

Cutting Edge Optronics (CEO), a subsidiary of Northrop Grumman, appointed Scott Mize general manager. Mize previously held roles at CEO such as COO, director of engineering, and engineering programs manager. Prior to CEO, Mize worked as operations manager for MEMC Electronic Materials.

DÜSSELDORF, Germany — Fujifilm appointed Ralf Petersen as workflow and solution consultant, packaging, EMEA. Petersen will be based within the sales department, where he will be responsible for assessing customer workflow needs and managing the integration of end-to-end solutions. Prior to his appointment, Petersen worked in a workflow consultancy role at Landa Digital Printing.

SAN JOSE, Calif. — Holographic extended reality technology company Swave Photonics named Mike Noonen CEO, taking over from founder Theodore Marescaux who now serves as chief product officer. Noonen joins Swave to expand the investment and commercialization of immersive 3D, gigapixel holographic projection chips for a wide range of emerging AR/VR and metaverse applications. He most recently served as CEO of MixComm, which was acquired by Sivers Semiconductors in October.

BOSTON — Medical technology company Elucid appointed Michael Lesh to its board of directors. Lesh is CEO and founder of Syntegra, a privacy-preserved synthetic medical data company, and executive chairman of Cordance Medical, a company using noninvasive transcranial-focused ultrasound to temporarily open the blood-brain barrier for the treatment of cancer, Alzheimer’s disease, and other brain disorders. Lesh is a professor of medicine and former chief of cardiac electrophysiology at the University of California, San Francisco.

VALENCIA, Spain — iPronics, developer of a general-purpose photonic processor, appointed Mark Halfman CEO. Halfman previously served as vice president of business development and operations at Qualcomm, following its acquisition of Pixtronix, a deep-tech startup where he had served as vice president of business development and marketing. Prior to that, Halfman served in a variety of roles at Xilinx.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Terra Sound, a software company providing fiber optic sensing solutions for critical infrastructure, appointed Trent Peugh CEO. Peugh served as president and CEO of Irth Solutions, a provider of cloud-based solutions for asset protection and dig ticket management.

AT—Automation Technology GmbH named Daniel Frank sales manager. Frank previously worked in the machine vision industry at SensoPart, Marposs, and Viscom Engineering AG.

DRONFIELD, England — AMETEK Land, a manufacturer of noncontact temperature measurement solutions, appointed Mike Percival channel partner manager.
