TRING, UK, Feb. 9, 2010 – Specialised Imaging Ltd. is set to launch a North American partner company – Specialised Imaging Inc. – as of April this year. The new business will expand and develop support for the company’s product line, which includes ultra-high-speed imaging systems and components for industrial, military and scientific applications.

“The US is the single largest market for our products in the world and our North American customer base has been growing strongly over recent years,” said Wai Chan, managing director.

The launch comes after five years of representation by IMC/Photo-Sonics Inc. of Burbank, Calif., who successfully introduced Specialised Imaging’s products to the to the US and Canada. The new office, also in California, will include dedicated sales and service staff, said the company.

Beyond looking to better serve customers with direct local support, the new US office will be able to offer system integration and development for all of the company’s products including ultra-high-speed framing cameras, high-speed video systems, x-ray imaging systems, lighting systems, specialty optics and triggering systems.

Specialised Imaging Ltd.’s cameras and systems are used in applications such as materials science, biomedical engineering, plasma physics, combustion research, ballistics, fluid mechanics and shockwave dynamics.
