Paris-based Sofradir, a developer and manufacturer of infrared detectors for military and space applications, has signed a contract with Galileo Avionica of Campi Bisenzio, Italy, a supplier of space equipment. The French company will supply its 30-μm-pitch short-wave infrared detectors for use in an Italian-led satellite program titled PRISMA (Precursor Hyperspectral Mission Application).
