SAN JOSE, Calif., Dec. 18, 2024 — Lumentum Holdings Inc., a designer and manufacturer of optical and photonic products, has appointed Paul Lundstrom to its board of directors, expanding the board to nine members. Lundstrom is currently CFO at Copeland, with previous experience as CFO of Flex Ltd. and Aerojet Rocketdyne.
ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Technology company Syntec Optics Holdings, Inc. has added Michael J. Ransford as site manager. Ransford has over 30 years of experience in engineering, operations, and business leadership, most recently acting as COO of Omega Optical Holdings.

READING, England — Sondrel, a provider of custom chips, has appointed Oreste Donzella as a non-executive director of its board, effective Jan. 1. Donzella has over 30 years’ experience in the global semiconductor industry, currently holding the positions of executive vice president and CSO of semiconductor manufacturer KLA.

NEW BRITAIN, Conn. — Cleaning solutions provider MicroCare has added Dagmara Charyk as regulatory affairs manager. Charyk previously served as global product regulatory manager for Benjamin Moore & Co. and regulatory and compliance manager for CellMark.
BUFFALO, N.Y. — Allient Inc., a designer and manufacturer of motion, controls, and power products, has launched its Allient Defense Solutions business unit. Along with its launch, the company has implemented an internal restructuring. Steve Warzala has been appointed to president of the business unit and will assume the role of corporate vice president; CTO and corporate vice president Ken May will lead the unit’s systems engineering and program support services; and senior director of business development Dave MacMillan will lead the unit’s business development efforts and dedicated sales team. Brandon Hunter has been named general manager of Allient’s structural and lightweighting composites technology unit in London, Ontario, and Jesses Dowd was appointed general manager of Allient’s technology unit in Rochester, N.Y.
