Solar Partnership
Santa Clara, Calif.-based Coherent Inc. and
Beverly, Mass.-based SiOnyx Inc. have announced that they will partner to evaluate
and develop SiOnyx’s black silicon processing, which offers a number of advantages
for the solar industry, including cost reduction, increased conversion efficiency
and improved manufacturing yields, the companies said. The partnership is expected
to provide both companies new opportunities in the photovoltaic industry.
