Solar Cell Partnership Formed

CALGARY, Alberta, Canada, Feb. 1, 2010 – Acceleware Corp. has announced a partnership with Crosslight Software of Vancouver, British Columbia, to deliver acceleration for thin-film solar cell and image pixel sensor simulations.

When combined with the former company’s acceleration solution for finite difference time domain (FDTD) algorithm, the latter company’s APSYS two- and three-dimensional electrical and electromagnetics simulation tools for semiconductor design can deliver simulation results up to 100 times faster than existing open source solvers on a high-end workstation.

Acceleration of the optical design process is valuable for APSYS users doing solar cell and image pixel simulations, reducing design cycle time, mitigating technical risk and optimizing yields.
