Shimadzu UK Appoints Winn Prod Specialist

MILTON KEYNES, England, July 20, 2012 — Andy Winn was appointed product specialist for atomic absorption, inductively coupled plasma and total organic carbon for Shimadzu UK’s Spectroscopy Group, the company announced Wednesday.

Winn will help the company strengthen its position in the UK molecular and atomic spectroscopy market at a time when it has created a collaborative agreement with the civil engineering department of Loughborough University for inductively coupled plasma applications in environmental and building applications.

Prior to joining the company, he was employed by Thermo Fisher Scientific before moving to Varian UK Ltd. and Agilent Technologies.
