Shimadzu Scientific Instruments of Kyoto, Japan, has partnered with Thomas Scientific of Swedesboro, N.J. The latter company will distribute some of the former’s spectroscopy products, including the UV-1800, the UV Mini and the BioSpec-mini spectrophotometers, in the US. The nonexclusive distribution agreement is expected to increase Shimadzu’s market in the US.
