The management of Sensors Unlimited Inc., a supplier of InGaAs photodiode arrays and cameras, is assuming most of the company's assets and liabilities from its parent, Finisar Corp., for $6.1 million in cash. The Princeton, N.J.-based company will retain its name and staff and will again become employee-owned and privately held, focusing on its military, industrial spectroscopy and telecommunications markets. It will gain a royalty-free license to use Finisar's avalanche and PIN photodetector products and technology for optical network monitoring applications.
