Schneider Group Appoints CEO
Jos. Schneider Optische Werke GmbH appointed Stuart Singer CEO of its subsidiary Schneider Optics Inc. (SOI), effective December 16, 2019. Singer will be based in Hauppauge, N.Y.
In his new role, Singer will identify and develop new business opportunities for SOI, ensure sustainable growth, and maintain close coordination and cooperation with the group leadership in Germany and the board of directors.
Singer rejoins SOI after working as senior technical director of Ruda Cardinal Inc. for the past two years. He originally joined SOI in 1994 as senior vice president and chief technical officer. He has 40 years' experience in engineering, management, and technical sales of optical applications for machine and robotic vision, military reconnaissance, spaceborne optical systems, and the industrial/commercial and motion picture/television industries. Singer is a recipient of a 2012 National Emmy Award for his contributions to the development of an IRND (infrared neutral density) filter for digital motion picture cameras, and he is a senior member of SPIE, the international society for optics and photonics.
