Satellite Imagery Will Aid Nature Conservation

Under terms of an agreement with The Nature Conservancy, based in Arlington, Va., Space Imaging of Denver will provide Ikonos and Indian remote sensing global satellite imagery at a discount along with a number of select images free of charge. The conservancy will use the images, from new and archived collections, in planning land management and protection of biodiversity. The information will allow the agency to analyze recurring images to measure conservation progress and to broaden its understanding of landscapes.
