STEMMER IMAGING has entered into an agreement to purchase Spanish company Infaimon SL, a software and hardware provider for machine vision and robotics.
Under the agreement, STEMMER IMAGING will pay a sum in the low tens of millions of euros for the acquisition of all shares in Infaimon, which is headquartered in Spain with subsidiaries in Portugal, Brazil, and Mexico. The management board of STEMMER IMAGING expects the acquisition to result in an additional revenue contribution of around €18 million and an EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization) contribution of around €3 million in the 2019-2020 financial year. Subject to approval by the antitrust authorities, consolidation is planned for July 1.
According to STEMMER IMAGING CEO, Arne Dehn, the acquisition of Infaimon places STEMMER IMAGING in the position to be represented in almost all major European markets.
