SensL has launched an applications-based Web site to present its silicon photomultiplier (SPM) technology and to demonstrate the advantages of this solid-state alternative to the traditional photomultiplier tube. Solid-state SPM detectors have applications in areas such as high-energy physics, radiation detection, positron emission tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, confocal microscopy, cytometry and spectroscopy.
