SCI Engineered Materials Inc. of Columbus, Ohio, has been awarded a two-year Phase II Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant. The company, which manufactures ceramics and metals for applications in photonics and thin-film solar, will use the funding to develop round wires for use in high-magnetic fields developed for high-energy physics experiments.
