Zecotek Receives Second Order from Hamamatsu

SINGAPORE, Nov. 22, 2013 — Zecotek Photonics Inc.’s imaging subsidiary has received a $1.5 million order for scintillation crystals from partner Hamamatsu Photonics, the company said Thursday. As with the first, this second order will be used by a third party OEM of positron emission tomography (PET) medical scanners. Zecotek Imaging Systems Pte. Ltd. will provide the OEM with lutetium fine silicate (LFS) scintillation crystals made through a patented process that gives them high light yields and ultrafast decay times, which allow for faster and higher-resolution operation of medical and industrial imaging...Read full article
