Spectros Sells Patent to Philips

PORTOLA VALLEY, Calif., May 5, 2010 — Spectros Corp. announced it will sell an optical biotechnology-related patent to Koninklijke Philips Electronics N.V. The purchase price was not disclosed. The patent concerns multispectral pulse oximetry technology developed by Spectros. Pulse oximetry is a noninvasive method allowing the monitoring of the oxygenation of a patient's hemoglobin.
