Spectra-Physics Granted Multiphoton Imaging Patent

SANTA CLARA, Calif., Aug. 22, 2011 — Spectra-Physics, a division of Newport Corp., has announced the issuance of US patent No. 7,962,046 for its DeepSee multiphoton imaging technology. Used in both the Mai Tai DeepSee and the InSight DeepSee products, the technique enables automated, deep 3-D imaging of live tissue in neuroscience, cell biology and other advanced biological applications.
