Solid State Acquires Active Silicon

LONDON, March 1, 2021 — Electronic components manufacturer Solid State acquired Active Silicon, a designer and manufacturer of imaging products for computer imaging and the processing of image data. The purchase cost was for an initial cash consideration of $7.6 million (£6.3 million). The combined company expands its ability to meet the demands of next-generation technologies that rely on machine vision, autonomy, edge computing, internet of things (IoT), and artificial intelligence (AI).
