KENT, England, Dec. 13 -- Sira Electro-Optics Ltd. and the Medical Research Council (MRC) Laboratory of Molecular Biology have signed a license agreement that gives Sira exclusive rights to market and manufacture an optical diffractometer that was developed by Brad Amos, principal scientist at the MRC lab. Optical diffractometers are used by molecular biologists for rapid evaluation of electron microscope images of biological molecules and structures. Sira said the optical diffractometer is capable of simultaneous display and capture of real-space and Fourier-space images and advanced optical...Read full articleRelated content from Photonics MediaArticlesExpansion Microscopy Technique Reveals Hidden NanostructuresProteins and other molecules are often tightly packed together inside a living cell.
