Pinnacle Biologics Acquires PDT Laser Tech

BANNOCKBURN, Ill., Dec. 5, 2012 — Pinnacle Biologics Inc. has completed its portfolio of photodynamic therapy (PDT) treatment components with the acquisition of Diomed’s PDT 630 laser and fiber optic diffuser Optiguide. Financial terms were not disclosed. The privately-held biopharmaceutical company’s acquisitions are the only FDA-approved devices for use in PDT with Photofrin (porfimer sodium) for injection.
