Varioptic SA of Lyon, France, and Creative Sensor Inc. of Taiwan have formed a partnership to mass-produce variable-focus liquid lenses in China. The companies say that the partnership will result in production of one million units monthly by the end of the year. Current manufacturing capacity is 100,000 lenses per month.
