A supplier of laser-based survey instruments, Optech Inc. of Toronto has merged its Laser Imaging and Industrial Products divisions to form the Industrial & 3-D Imaging Div. The units share administrative, engineering and manufacturing resources, which is expected to lead to a more cohesive focus on products such as the cavity monitoring system and the Ilris-3-D laser ranging and imaging systems. The move is expected to generate a larger pool of resources for both sales and customer support.
