Moore Named Interim CEO of Iridex

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Aug. 30, 2012 — Medical device industry veteran William M. Moore will serve as interim president and CEO of laser-based medical systems maker Iridex. The appointment, announced this week, takes effect immediately. Moore replaces Dominik Beck, who served in the role for less than a year and whose employment with the company ended Aug. 24. In October 2011, Beck, who had spent much of his career leading companies that focused on eye care and ophthalmic devices, succeeded Theodore A. Boutacoff.
