Lumenis, Alma Settle Patent Suit

YOKNEAM, Israel, Dec. 1, 2010 — Medical laser company Lumenis Ltd. and Alma Lasers Ltd., a laser, light-based, radiofrequency and ultrasound devices provider, announced their patent suit settlement that was pending in US District Court in Chicago. Under the agreement, Lumenis has granted Alma a license to its complete patent portfolio for use with respect to all of Alma’s products in the aesthetic field. Alma will pay Lumenis $6.5 million for the license.
