Flir Acquires Stock of Scientific Materials

Flir Systems Inc., a designer, manufacturer and marketer of thermal imaging and camera systems for thermography and imaging applications with headquarters in Wilsonville, Ore., has acquired the stock of Scientific Materials Corp., based in Bozeman, Mont., for $13 million. The Montana company started producing specialty crystals for high-end laser manufacturing in 1989 and has expanded into the production of laser assemblies and components for industrial, medical, scientific and military laser manufacturers.Read full article
