CHARLTON, Mass., Dec. 25 -- FiberCore, a manufacturer of optical fiber and preform for the telecommunication and data communication markets, has entered into a contract with an existing South American customer worth about $20 million. The order will ship throughout 2001, 2002, and 2003 from Xtal, FiberCore's newly acquired facility in Brazil.
