Excelitas Expands Medical Lighting Capabilities

WALTHAM, Mass. and GOLDEN, Colo., March 12, 2012 — Excelitas Technologies expanded its lighting portfolio through the acquisition of privately held Carsan Engineering of Golden, Colo., a manufacturer of arc lamp power supplies for the medical and dental markets. The transaction increases the array of power supplies in Excelitas’ portfolio of lighting solutions for medical and dental OEMs. Carsan’s newest 400-W product is highly differentiated and is gaining interest in the medical and dental markets, the company said.
