Ultrahigh brightness light source manufacturer Energetiq Technology Inc. announced recently that it has built a clean manufacturing facility at its Massachusetts location. The 800 sq. ft. clean room will provide Class 1000 assembly capability to be used for optics assembly and manufacturing for the company’s Laser-Driven Light Source (LDLS) products. The reliable light sources provide broadband DUV, visible and NIR light for analytical applications that require ultra-long lamp life. “Our new clean manufacturing space will give us the capability to assemble and test our optics in a particulate-free environment, leading to significantly higher performing light source products with extended lifetimes,” said Claire Brown, director of operations. “Not only will our new clean room allow us to improve efficiency and increase volume production on our current LDLS light source products, it will also enable us to take on additional projects that require contamination-free production processes.” It is anticipated to help the company to continue to grow in the life sciences industry.
