NEW YORK, June 29 -- Emergent Group Inc. said that merger talks with laser maker Trimedyne, Inc. have been terminated. "Although we regret that acceptable terms were not reached in our proposed merger with Trimedyne Inc., we are optimistic that our innovative business model will generate value for our shareholders," said Mark Waldron, CEO of Emergent Group.
